Jennifer Buckley

DESIGNATED PARALEGAL | LEGAL COACH | INNOVATION SANDBOX PARTICIPANT (she/her)

Jennifer obtained her paralegal diploma in 2013 and has been working as a paralegal at Kitsilano Family Law since 2014. As a designated paralegal at Kitsilano Family Law, Jennifer case manages files, drafts court documents and correspondence, interviews clients, and prepares for hearings and trials. Jennifer also has over 10 years experience in Provincial Court, Supreme Court, Court of Appeal and mediations. When she is not working on files, Jennifer assists with managing the firms’ operations. 

In 2021, Jennifer became a designated paralegal giving her the opportunity to take on her own cases helping self-represented litigants navigate the challenging and confusing judicial court system. In 2022, Jennifer became a Certified Legal Coach as well as an approved participant with the Law Society of BC’s Innovation Sandbox, allowing her to further expand services that she can provide to clients. Through her services, Jennifer has assisted self-represented litigants with day-to-day legal support, mediations, court hearings and trials. Jennifer believes that through education, managing expectations and fruitful conversations, her clients will feel confident navigating their own family law case.

Outside of work, Jennifer is a board of directors with the Legal Coaches Association and a manager with AC Friends of Court.

When Jennifer is not working (or volunteering), she is either spending time with her daughter, exploring local shopping malls or reviewing or reporting on entertainment news to whomever will listen to her. Jennifer is non-status Cree/Metis on her paternal side.
