Jeremia ‘Jeri’ Chow

Jeri obtained her BA in Political Science in 2014 and her JD in 2019. In 2019, Jeri began her articles with Kitsilano Family and has practiced exclusively in family law since. Jeri is experienced in inter-jurisdictional matters, including files involving: international assets, competing foreign court proceedings, and international child abductions. Jurisdictions that Jeri has worked with include: various American states, England, France, Qatar, Germany, Denmark, Taiwan, Hong Kong, South Korea, and New Zealand, among others.

An effective advocate, Jeri has a very successful settlement and litigation record. She is guided in her practice by genuinely listening to her clients and seeking to find practical solutions.

Jeri has experience in negotiating and seeking orders on a wide-range of family issues, including creative parenting arrangements; child and spousal support for elusive incomes; and division of high net-worth family assets.  She has represented clients in BC Provincial Court, BC Supreme Court, and BC Court of Appeal.

In the office, Jeri is known to be the one who never, ever turns on the overhead lighting. (Soft, warm, ambient lighting only.) She’s a Pacific Northwest gal to heart and enjoys spending her free time bouldering and cycling, and going on outdoor adventures with her family. She is the mother to a social and rambunctious son.

Jeri is able to serve clients in Cantonese and Mandarin.

  • M.B. v M.L, 2024 BCSC 1368

High conflict family trial involving allegations of family violence from both sides. Successfully defeated applicant’s order for guardianship over a step-daughter; and successfully obtained orders for retroactive and ongoing child support; spousal support; and division of family property for client. Costs awarded to client.  

  •  Souhaibb v Javed, 2023 BCSC 584

 Successfully obtained orders declaring that BC did not have jurisdiction over the family case, due to existing orders from Pakistan.
