Kerri Newman
Kerri has always had a passion for law ever since she was a child. In 2019, Kerri obtained her certification as a Legal Administrative Assistant. Since that time, Kerri has been working in the area of Family Law and began working at Kitsilano Family Law in 2021. In her current role, Kerri provides legal support in preparing pleadings, preparing for court appearances and file management. Kerri is also in charge of the firm’s intake for consultation and meetings.
Kerri is a member of the Kwakiutl Nation and is from North Island, Port Hardy, B.C. Outside of work, Kerri is active in her community participating in various Indigenous cultural events allowing her to connect with her heritage. Kerri often attends West Coast nights at the Friendship Center. Driven by a desire to deepen her cultural connection, Kerri is currently dedicating time to learning her native language, Kwakiutl.
In addition to her professional and cultural pursuits, you will find Kerri spending time with her two daughters, her dogs Cookie and Oreo and her extended family. Kerri also enjoys cooking, learning new hobbies, and experiencing nature whenever she has the opportunity, and appreciates the peace it brings her.
